Overhang precision
The range of variation in the difference between the envelope lines on the same side of the positive and negative electrode sheets within the core pack is referred to as "EU" (Envelope Uniformity).
Alignment precision between separator and electrodes
The alignment degree between the separator and the positive or negative electrode within the core pack is referred to as "FU" (Alignment Uniformity).
Jellyroll alignment metric
The relative position difference within the core pack between electrode sheets and electrode sheets, as well as between electrode sheets and the separator, where they overlap.
Rolls alignment metric
The relative position error in the overlap of material rolls (positive electrode sheets, negative electrode sheets, separators, tapes).
Auricular alignment metric
The relative position error in the overlap of multiple tab or tab-like features within the core pack.
Overhang
The part of the negative electrode sheet that extends beyond the positive electrode sheet in either the length or width direction.
Viscosity
A characteristic of slurry material flow that reflects the strength of interactions between liquid molecules during motion. Strong interactions (high viscosity) result in less flow.Note: The viscosity typically referred to is shear viscosity.
Burr
Sharp metal impurities present at the edges of electrode sheets can potentially puncture the separator, leading to a short circuit inside the battery.
Particle size
The size of particles in a slurry is referred to as particle size or particle granularity.
Solid content
The solid content of a slurry is essentially the non-volatile content of the slurry. The testing procedure involves heating at a specific temperature to determine the time, and then measuring the remaining substance's weight in relation to the initial substance's weight. There are two testing methods: infrared and oven-drying.
Surface density
After the electrode has undergone the coating process, the weight of the electrode material applied per unit area is referred to as areal mass loading.
Compacted density
After the electrode has undergone the calendaring process, the weight of the electrode material applied per unit volume is referred to as volumetric mass loading.
